Awesome Art! hands-on art activities are crafted by Austin art educator Allison Lash.  Participants explore artmaking while building self-confidence, problem solving and practicing reflection.  Allison introduces appropriate materials and tools for adults and children  to thrive in art making at any skill level.  Awesome Art! is an approved Fine Arts Service Provider and holds a Fine Arts & Creative Learning Partnership with the Austin Independent School District.  Please click here to view Allison's connection with AISD, CLI and MindPop. 

Available for one-off or multiple workshops, classes, residencies, parties and events.  One-on-one, or groups up to 25, Allison works collaboratively with you to design your most successful art explorations!

Visual Art Teaching Residencies in the classroom, K-5th Grade.

Hands-on workshops (multiple sessions) collaborating with classroom teachers and partnering with students to foster the artist’s way of thinking and working (making mistakes into something new, learning to adapt, and thinking outside the box).  Integrating visual arts activities with cross curricular, making connections and promoting life long learning.

Art Teacher Mentoring Partnerships- creating, organizing and maintaining a successful art studio, K-12th Grade.

Collaborating with district Visual Arts Coordinators to ensure that visual arts teachers are engaging and effective educators.  Creating and maintaining mentoring partnerships with district art teachers to ensure high quality visual art education throughout the district. 

Professional Development Workshops For Arts And Non-Arts Teachers, Workshops For Communities and Families, K-12th Grade.

Hands-on workshops (multiple sessions or a one-off) partnering with teachers and families to develop teaching strategies for educating children with different learning styles (teaching to Multiple Intelligences) while integrating visual arts activities with cross curricular, making connections and promoting life long learning.
