Hello
Hi, I’m Allison—an artist, educator, and mom who’s passionate about creating hands-on opportunities for people of all ages to explore the visual arts.
I earned my Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Jersey. After completing my graduate studies, I taught as an adjunct instructor at several colleges before becoming a public school art educator in New York City.
My Story
In 2015, after moving to Austin, Texas, I founded Awesome Art!—an after-school program designed to spark creativity and confidence in young artists. What began as a local initiative has since grown into a dynamic, multi-generational arts program serving communities beyond Austin. I design and lead inclusive, hands-on art workshops for people of all ages while creating welcoming and accessible visual arts experiences that foster creativity, connection, and community.

I oversee all aspects of program development, including logistics, budgeting, client and vendor relations. I partner with schools, libraries, museums, non-profits, and local government agencies to expand access to arts programming and ensure that everyone—regardless of age, background, or ability—can engage in the positive health benefits of making art.
