Hello

Hi, I’m Allison (she/her)—an artist, educator, and mom who’s passionate about creating hands-on opportunities for people of all ages to explore the visual arts.

I'm a First Generation College Graduate and earned my Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Jersey. After completing my graduate studies, I taught photography (darkroom, digital and alternative processes) as an adjunct instructor at several colleges and trained in the Reggio Emilia approach with Studio In A School and Pratt Institute before becoming a public school art educator in NYC.

My Story

In 2015, after moving to Austin, Texas, I founded Awesome Art!—an after-school program designed to spark creativity and confidence in young artists. What began as a local initiative has since grown into a multi-generational arts program serving communities in and beyond Austin.  I design and lead inclusive, hands-on art workshops for people of all ages while creating welcoming and accessible visual arts experiences that foster creativity, connection, and community.

I oversee all aspects of program development, including logistics, budgeting, client and vendor relations. I partner with schools, libraries, museums, non-profits, and local government agencies to expand access to arts programming and ensure that everyone—regardless of age, background, or ability—can engage in the healing health benefits of making art.
