Shibori!

I'm ecstatic to learn natural Shibori indigo dyeing with Graham Keegan! http://www.grahamkeegan.com/workshops/

I'm intrigued by textile arts like Indian Block Printing, Resist Dyeing (inspired by Asian arts), and of course, Japanese Shibori. I'm drawn to the irregular repetition and the texture of the fabric.

I'd LOVE to travel to Asia again to learn more about hand made textiles. While in Kyoto, I remember walking down empty streets and passing an open door where I peeked in to see a woman working alone, weaving on a loom. I almost wish I had documented that moment with my camera, but it remains in my memory.
