Awesome Art! is collaborating with AISD as a Fine Arts Service Provider!

I'm working with third graders on 6 external murals funded by the Creative Learning Initiative/AISD! It's a wonderful opportunity to work with kids in small group artmaking. My school residency is reminding me that artmaking is so much more than making art. Children are learning through experience to problem solve, negotiate, collaborate, communicate, delegate, teach peers, take ownership, take care of materials, follow steps and so much more. We're also making science, math and ELA connections. This has been a wonderful experience. Thank you CLI and AISD!
